Rose Clifford Updates – Your Input

The Rose Clifford Community Park is the recreational heart of Scotch Creek and the North Shuswap. The park is named to honour Rose Clifford who passed away at the age of 11 while trying to rescue a drowning friend. The 4.5 acre park currently has a children’s playground, baseball diamond and ball field, all-purpose court (tennis, pickleball, basketball, ball hockey), swings and a picnic area.

The CSRD undertook a preliminary park concept development in early 2018, though there was very little community or stakeholder engagement, and it is not felt to meet the current needs of the community. This Rose Clifford Community Park Improvements Project represents an opportunity to reconnect with the community and stakeholders, to develop a focused and cohesive vision for Rose Clifford Park, and to mitigate current issues while optimizing other underutilized park space.
